ALTADENA RELIEF DRIVE

ABOUT OUR ALTADENA RELIEF DRIVE

Peace Family,

Altadena, California, has a deep African American history that adds to its unique culture. After the Civil War, many Black families moved to Altadena in search of better opportunities.

They bought land, built homes, and started businesses, helping the community grow. Over the years, African Americans in Altadena formed organizations, churches, and community groups that strengthened social ties and cultural pride.

The community has also been home to talented artists and musicians, contributing to the vibrant cultural scene in Southern California. Many local families have played important roles in civil rights activism, education, and local politics.

It’s important that we come together to support those in need, as helping our neighbors rebuild not only strengthens our community but also honors the spirit of resilience and unity that has always defined Altadena. Your support can make a real difference in the lives of those affected.
